Day 25 - Mumbai to Murud (partial day)

Today we left Mumbai after a 2 day rest there. We were busy the whole time to take advantage of this busy, bustling city. It seems the city never sleeps, so much activity going on.

Late start riding today because we had to get to the ferry to cross out of Mumbai so as to not to ride in the heavy traffic.

I only rode a partial morning ride. One of our riders was sick by the road and stopped at a local roadside supermarket. I stopped there and then stayed with her until the van came to pick us up.

While I was waiting I decided that I have had enough of riding in India. No excuses, I’m DONE!

It’s HOT, with temps in the mid 90’s and no cooling off at night. It’s very difficult riding with this section of going South down the coast one of the most challenging with hill rides up and down, lots of climbing here. Today only 7 of 20 riders finished the ride to the end.

Today’s ride was 17.89 miles with 215 feet of elevation.

  1. I'm sure the sick rider appreciated you sticking with her, Erin. I'm not surprised that the heat has been draining you. Your clothes must be soaked with sweat at all times! - Bruce
