Day 5 - Jaipur to Roopangarh

Day 5 riding, back on the bike after our rest day. Another busy day in the traffic. For me another long day of riding.

73.54 miles riding with 968 feet of climbing.

Day 24 - Karjat to Mumbai

Hooray we’re on the way to a two day rest in Mumbai. I rode the second section of the ride to get to the ferry to Mumbai. A very nice easy 20+ miles with minimal hills. We arrived on the ferry to The Gateway of India, Mumbai . Mumbai is known as the Gateway of India because  it was a significant entry point to India from the West, especially during the British rule . The Gateway of India was built to welcome the first visit of a British monarch to India.  Today’s ride 24.7 miles with 650 feet climbing. Day 13 - Dungarpur to Banswara (Half day)

Rode the morning part of the ride. Having problems with saddle sores. Adjusted my seat height once already. Then my handlebars were too high. Still did not solve my chamois rub issue. This morning adjusted my seat height again. Seems better but then my back was killing me after 40 miles. Decided to end my ride at lunch and ride back in the van. For tomorrow’s ride I’ve adjusted my saddle height and handlebar height again to see if this helps with my saddle sores. Ride today 44.6 miles with 955 feet of climbing. See my ride route on Strava Riding my bike is a social event for me. Because I’m so much slower than everyone I’m finding the social aspect is difficult because I’m spending most of the day riding by myself. I finish a lot later than everyone and I’m usually really tired. I know I have the endurance but am I enjoying it? Maybe I should start riding half days, but then that feels somewhat defeatist. Tomorrow is a new day.
