Day 11 - Kumbhalgarh to Udaipur
Feeling a little less defeated today. Ride was much better. It’s starting to get pretty hot after lunch.
Todays ride: 49.10 miles with 2,175 feet of climbing.
See my ride route on Strava
Joke of the day… a Tuktuk driver stopped when I was on the roadside with two other riders refilling my water bottle and taking a pee… asked us if we wanted a ride so we made a joke out of it. See photo. π Could have used that yesterday, haha.

Roadside pictures from my friend Alison.

I find that I’m not stopping much to take photos because I’m worried I’ll get too far behind for the day. I know it doesn’t matter how long you take to do the ride but i don’t want to finish hours after everyone else.
Yesterday’s ride was so difficult for me that I was almost two hours behind everyone finishing the ride it seemed.
I think I kind of bonked and am probably not fueling my rides well enough.
I find it challenging to eat much in the morning so I need to carry more food with me to fuel my rides better.
We are in the city of Udipur for a rest day. Sightseeing tomorrow.
Udaipur is a tourist destination and is known for its history, culture, scenic locations and the Rajput-era palaces. It has seven lakes surrounding the city. Udipur is one of the several cities in Asia that are sometimes called “The Venice of the East”
