Day 10 - Jojawar to Kumbhalgarh
According to the tour, this was our first real day of climbing. Today was a real struggle for me to finish the ride. The main portion of our climb was before lunch. I had to get off my bike and walk part of the ascent near the top.
Those of you who know me know I am not a good climber. I’m beginning to wonder if I’m going to make it through the tour. 10 days of riding down and 20 more to go.
We just completed one third of the tour. The days are getting hotter as we move South. We have been riding in the Indian state of Rajasthan.
Today’s ride 47.82 miles with 3,130 feet of climbing. According to my Strava stats I just logged my biggest climb.

Keep hanging in there Erin. There’s no shame in walking it up a giant mountain when needed. You are still a wondrous beast taking on this massive personal challenge. I applaud you and love you!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouragement Rennae, appreciate it!
DeleteHey girl friends! Thinking about you two almost everyday. It’s been bitter cold here. I know you’re working hard, but at the same time seeing phenomenal sights. Everlasting memories! Sending you both vibes of encouragement. Love Jo Layne
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo Layne, Jackie is rocking it! I’m sure she will ride every mile of the trip!
DeleteLooked at Strava for 2/9/25. Ug. But you did it! So fascinating watching where you two are traveling. Trees and shade would be nice I imagine. Some of the photos of other stages are intriguing. The dung drying…genius! A plentiful source of fire fuel. Tuesday 2/11 is the FFHF ride, minus Jackie. It’s supposed to be 29 degrees at the start! Sending encouragement and a big “go girls”!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo Layne, India is an infinitely interesting country, that’s for sure.
