We’ve landed in New Delhi

Our flight arrived in New Delhi, things went smoothly. No problems with our bikes getting here. The driver from the hotel meet us at the airport and soon took us away to the hotel. Upon arriving at the hotel, the car we were in passes through the security and they look under the hood. Arriving at the hotel entrance all our bags are taken from us and put through an x-ray machine. We pass through an x-ray machine to enter the hotel too. Everyone is very helpful asking us how our travels went. There is constant checking with us to see if everything is OK and that we have everything we need.

It was about 4:00 am, Jan 25, when we got to our hotel room. We jumped in bed to rest for a few hours. Later in the day we went out with a friend of a friend on the hunt for raw silk and fabric to have an outfit made at the tailor. Not a traditional outfit, but a basic pair of pants, top and over jacket to wear to a special occasion in August.

There are 1000’s of fabrics to choose from. Raw silk, organza, embroidered and highly decorated fabrics of all colors. It’s hard to make a decision haha but eventually fabric is purchased and off to the tailor for measurements and explanations on what the clothing style should be. Clothes to be shipped later. Will see how it works out.
